House number 12 in Schellenberg is one of the oldest residences in Liechtenstein. It documents the late medieval economy and settlement styles.
The house was built in 1518 as an interlocking timber construction. Since it belonged to the mobile property of each tenant, it was taken down and rebuilt in a different location several times. Today, it conveys an impressive picture of the modest lifestyle of past generations in Liechtenstein.
